The National Kidney Registry (NKR) announced that DHR Health Transplant Institute in McAllen, Texas, has become an NKR Member Center.
NKR Member Centers are a network of transplant centers that agree to an extensive list of guidelines and commitments to provide the highest level of care, protection, and support to living donors.
DHR Health Transplant Institute participates in the NKR’s Voucher Program, Donor Shield, Recipient Shield, remote donation, and kidney prioritization.
“We are pleased to welcome DHR Health Transplant Institute as the NKR’s newest Member Center,” said Joe Sinacore, NKR Vice President of Network Development. “With DHR Health now part of our growing network, we’re giving more individuals the chance for a better match and a longer-lasting transplant.”
