The National Kidney Registry (NKR) hosted a successful regional training event on May 1–3, 2024, at the Hayes Mansion in San Jose, California.
A total of 27 people attended the event, including three members of the NKR team and representatives from 13 transplant centers: Hartford Hospital Transplant Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Minnesota Medical Center, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, Sharp HealthCare Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program, Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center Transplant Services, Keck Medical Center of USC, Virginia Mason Medical Center, UCSF Medical Center, Stanford University Medical Center, and UC Davis Transplant Center.
Speakers included two NKR team members—Joe Sinacore, Vice President of Network Development, and David Zhelezov, Operations Manager. The other speakers were Kari Rancourt (Hartford Hospital), Karen Miller (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Margaret Voges (University of Minnesota Medical Center), and Suzanne McGuire, a Clinical Support Consultant.
