The National Kidney Registry is now conducting microsite coach check-in webinars, a new initiative designed to support patients who are working with a microsite coach as part of their search for a living kidney donor.
Microsite check-in webinars offer patients a chance to connect with their coach, ask questions, and receive practical guidance on how to get the most from their microsite. Topics include how to tell your personal story, how to share your microsite link effectively, and how to involve loved ones and supporters in your donor search.
“Microsite coach check-ins are our latest effort to give kidney patients the support and help they need in their search for a living kidney donor,” said Samantha Hil, Microsite Product Manager. “They’re a chance for patients to get real-time guidance, ask personal questions, and receive advice not only from the expert coaches, but also from fellow patients who are facing the same challenges.”
All sessions are moderated by trained microsite coaches. While most are conducted in English, bilingual coaches offer support in Spanish during designated sessions. All patients with a microsite coach will be invited to join one of these interactive Zoom-based webinars.
Future webinars may also include specialized topics moderated by content experts, transplant coordinators, and recent transplant recipients. Additionally, open Q&A sessions designed for both patients and their champions, such as friends, family members, or other supporters, will be offered through each microsite coach.
For now, the check-ins are exclusively for patients who are already matched with a microsite coach. To learn more about microsites and the support available through the National Kidney Registry, visit FindAKidney.com.
